Growing number of leaders are asking themselves how they can create people-centered organizations where employees feel more fulfilled and engaged, and companies achieve extraordinary results. Fundamental needs for meaning, connectedness, and a desire to contribute positively to others and society are common to the human experience – perhaps even more explicitly among millennials. The Potential Project research team has surveyed and assessed more than 30,000 leaders from hundreds of companies in more than a hundred countries. Three mental qualities stand out as most critical for leaders today: mindfulness, selflessness, and compassion. How can these qualities be enhanced and applied to leading oneself, other people, and the organization?
