Alberto Ribera se incorporó al IESE en 2003 tras una carrera profesional de 15 años en la Organización Mundial de la Salud, la Comisión Europea y otras organizaciones multilaterales, ocupándose de proyectos en África, el Sureste Asiático y especialmente Oriente Medio. Entre 1999 y 2003 fue director general de la Euro Arab Management School.
En el IESE es director académico de la Unidad de Coaching e imparte la asignatura del MBA "Personality and Leadership", que en 2009 recibió el Premio a la Excelencia otorgado por el IESE. También imparte la asignatura del Global Executive MBA "Managing Oneself"; y cursos para directivos sobre liderazgo, desarrollo de competencias, gestión de relaciones y coaching. Es autor o coautor de 9 libros y más de 30 casos.
Ha sido profesor visitante o ponente en universidades y escuelas de negocios de más de 20 países diferentes y en conferencias internacionales como el World Economic Forum. Ha impartido cursos para Enel, Compagnia di San Paolo, Banco di Napoli, Telecom Italia, Saint Gobain, The Arab Contractors, Egypt Telecom, BBVA, Banco de España, Enrst&Young, Hewlett Packard, PricewaterhouseCoopers y otras empresas.
Es miembro del consejo del Istituto per la Cooperazione Universitaria (Roma), Harambee Foundation (Nairobi) y otras instituciones sin ánimo de lucro.
Co-founder and the current co-director of the Center for Positive Organizations
Robert E. Quinn holds the Margaret Elliot Tracey Collegiate Professorship at the University of Michigan and serves on the faculty of Management and Organization at the Ross Business School. He is a co-founder and the current co-director of the Center for Positive Organizations, which in 2012 was awarded the Research Center Impact Award by the Academy of Management. This award recognizes researchers or research centers that have made a major impact on real world management practice. Quinn’s research and teaching interests focus on leadership, organizational change and effectiveness. He has published 18 books on these subjects. Recent books include: The Positive Organization: Breaking Free from Conventional Cultures, Constraints and Beliefs; Deep Change Field Guide; Lift: Becoming a Positive Force in Any Situation; and The Best Teacher in You: How to Accelerate Learning and Change Lives. Bob is a fellow of the Academy of Management and of the World Business Academy. He was a co-recipient of the Academy of Management’s 2010 Martin Trail Blazer Award for opening new directions in the field of organization theory. He is also the recipient of the 2011 Marion F. Gislason Award, presented for life-long contributions to the field and practices of leadership. His paper on Positive Leadership was recently selected by the Harvard Business Review as one of the ten all-time classics in self-leadership. Bob is particularly known for his work on the Competing Values Framework, which is used in organizations across the globe. He has forty years of experience in assisting organizations make cultural change.
William Russell Kelly Professor of Management and Organizations in the Ross School of Business
His past research on organizational virtuousness, downsizing, effectiveness, corporate quality culture, and the development of leadership excellence has been published in more than 130 academic articles and 15 scholarly books. His current research focuses on virtuousness in and of organizations--such as forgiveness, gratitude, kindness, and compassion--and their relationship to performance. He is one of the co-founders of the Center for Positive Organizations at the University of Michigan and has served as Dean at the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University, Associate Dean in the Marriott School of Management at Brigham Young University, and department chair and associate dean at the University of Michigan.
