This session will analyze recent trends in the compliance practice in Spain and Europe. We will also discuss how compliance can generate value for companies operating in national and international contexts. During this interactive sessions we will also analyze typical compliance-driven traps, but also opportunities to strategically leverage compliance to reduce company's exposure to legal and organizational risks. The critical role played by value-driven management and ethical training will be finally discussed.

The session will be held in Spanish.

    Antonino Vaccaro es Profesor del Departamento de Ética Empresarial y de la Unidad de Negociación. También es Director Académico del Center for Business in Society y de la plataforma Social Innovation and Social Entrepreneurship. Asimismo, es director académico de varios custom programs del IESE dirigidos a compañías multinacionales e instituciones educativas.

    Antonino cuenta con un Master en Ingeniería (Politecnico di Milano), un PhD en Ingeniería Industrial y Gestión (IST, Lisboa) y dos Post Doctoral Research Fellowship en Ética y Política Tecnológica (Carnegie Mellon University) y en Ética de la Información (University of Oxford), respectivamente.

    Su investigación ha sido publicada en revistas científicas de primer nivel, como The Academy of Management Journal, Research Policy, Technological Forecasting and Social Change, Journal of Management Studies, Ethics and Information Technology, Journal of Business
    Ethics, The Information Society, etc.

    El Prof. Vaccaro ha dirigido consultorías  y proyectos de investigación aplicada en instituciones gubernamentales europeas, en The United Nation (Global Compact) y en empresas multinacionales como Southern Company (US), Volkswagen Autoeuropa (Portugal, Alemania), CNIM (Francia), Artsana Group (Italia), Alcoa (EE.UU.), Alcoa Defense (EE.UU.), REWE (Alemania), Zaiput Technologies (EE.UU.), Tecnoreef (Italia), etc.

    Asimismo, es miembro del consejo de start-ups europeas y norteamericanas, a las que asesora en el ámbito de resolución de disputas internacionales.
