The events of the past year have brought about extraordinary turmoil and complexity, and with the inauguration of a new US president, a number of new geopolitical and ecological implications are affecting the business world.


In this special session focused on the US, Prof. Mike Rosenberg will bring together a panel of senior leaders in the US to discuss the impact of recent events on companies and the keys to preparing for what may lie ahead in 2021.

She was named one of Louisville Business First's Enterprising Women Award 2020 honoree.

    Ed Reilly, Former President and CEO, American Management Association (AMA) and Executive-in-residence, IESE New York

    Ed Reilly has over 25 years of experience in global business, including management education, publishing, broadcasting and advertising. with direct experience in more than 40 countries. Mr. Reilly served as the President and the CEO of the American Management Association for 16 years, and prior to that as the President of the McGraw Hill Broadcasting.

    David M. Roth, GCP'18, CEO, The Wakaya Group and Trust

    David M. Roth's career has spanned the globe and included executive leadership roles in the private, public, academic, NGO and non-profit sectors. David co-founded and currently serves as CEO of the Wakaya Group and Trust, a privately held commercial (wellness) and philanthropic entity with over $250M in holdings in the USA, Fiji, Nicaragua, Ecuador, Peru and the United Kingdom.  Formerly, David served as Director for FIJI Water LLC and was the co-founder of the FIJI Water Foundation which focuses its giving on school construction and clean-water projects.

    Steve Shiffman, GCP'17, Former CEO, Calvin Klein

    A seasoned executive with over three decades of retail experience, Steve Shiffman assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer of Calvin Klein in 2014. In this role, Steve focused on the strategy, product development, marketing and commercial operations for all CALVIN KLEIN product lines across the world. Prior to this role, Steve served as the President & Chief Commercial Officer for Calvin Klein, Inc., where he oversaw the global commercial operations of the business, which included having direct oversight of the North America retail and ecommerce businesses, Asia Pacific and Latin American operations, Global Licensing and the Creative Services department.

    Professor of the Practice of Management de Dirección Estratégica

     

    Mike Rosenberg es profesor ordinario de la Práctica de la Dirección en el departamento de Dirección Estratégica de IESE. Comenzó a impartir clases a tiempo parcial en los programas MBA y Global Executive MBA en 1999 y se unió al claustro de IESE como profesor a tiempo completo en 2003.

    En la actualidad, el profesor Rosenberg imparte clases en los programas MBA y de Executive Education del IESE, donde enseña dirección estratégica, geopolítica y sostenibilidad. Además, tiene un blog titulado Doing Business on the Earth, en el que escribe semanalmente sobre estos temas.

    Su primer libro, titulado Strategy and Sustainability (Palgrave Macmillan, 2015), aborda la relación entre el mundo de los negocios y el medio ambiente, un tema que analiza desde la perspectiva de los directivos empresariales. Su segundo libro, titulado Strategy and Geopolitics (Emerald, 2017), alienta a los líderes empresariales a prestar más atención a lo que está sucediendo alrededor del globo. Ambos libros ofrecen sus propios marcos para afrontar estos dos temas.

    De 2004 a 2009, el profesor Rosenberg dirigió la International Executive Education Unit del IESE. Ha sido el director académico del Advanced Management Program in Media Entertainment, en el que se basa un libro del que es coautor, Managing Media Businesses (Palgrave Macmillan, 2017). Rosenberg es también director académico del programa enfocado Leading in a Matrix Organization, que se imparte en el campus del IESE en Nueva York, así como de una serie de Custom Programs para clientes corporativos del IESE.

    Antes de unirse al IESE Business School, Rosenberg era Automotive Practice Leader en Heidrick & Struggles y previamente pasó 15 años como consultor de A.T. Kearney y Arthur D. Little en Europa, América del Norte y Asia, principalmente en el sector de la automoción.

    El profesor Rosenberg posee un doctorado por la Universidad de Cranfield, además de ser MBA por IESE Business School y licenciado en Arquitectura Naval por la Universidad de Michigan en Ann Arbor.
