Digital transformation is fashionable. Our society is immersed in it, and it seems that companies have problems dealing with it. To begin with, it is not clear if it will affect us. And if it affects us, we usually identify a series of barriers that make us believe - often wrong - that the issue can wait. And even when we have clear that something must be done, we often have many doubts about where and how to start.

We will introduce a framework of analysis that allows us to think in a more systematic way about how and when the digital transformation will affect our company and our sector.

We will introduce the concept of "digital density" as a way of thinking not in the constant technological changes but only in those that affect our business activity. Using examples from specific industries, we will analyze which are the levers to be understood in order to gauge the possibilities of change motivated by increases in the digitization of a specific sector in the short and medium term. It will also allow us to see where the change is most likely to be in: the customer experience, the internal processes, or the whole value proposition. This will allow us to better understand what parts of the current business model have to change and at what pace.

Finally, we will briefly review some good practices and concrete ways in the internal execution of any digital transformation project that we want to undertake.
